The Skipper
Ivo Orlić. The man who sailed her around the world.
Owner of FIU since she was launched. Skippered her 43,000 miles between 2003 and 2006, and is still her skipper today.

Skipper & owner
Ivo Orlić.
Ivo has a deep passion for sailing. He has sailed a lot — not as much as he wanted. The job, for many years, was the means to finance the boating life.
He owns FIU, sailed her around the world between 2003 and 2006, and is still her skipper today. The Adriatic is home port now — Krk to Kornati, Vis, the long way around to Dubrovnik, and the occasional cross-Adriatic run when the wind agrees.
Outside the boat, Ivo is part of a long Croatian sailing community based around Marina Punat.
“Spending weeks and months on a very limited space can be a very frustrating affair. Disembarking difficult cases in the middle of the ocean is no one's preferred option.”
In good company
The people who've sailed with her.
Over the years, crew has come from across Europe, Australia and the Americas. Sailors, friends, family, the occasional stranger who became neither — every leg has its own roster, kept somewhere in the ship's log.
